Missing Kayak

A red Pyranha Inazone 230 kayak was taken off the White River just upstream from the Gaysville, VT Post Office.

On Saturday afternoon, April 24, the NH AMC Paddlers had to leave a kayak cached on the side of the White River because a new paddler was finding the river too difficult. This kayak was loaned by one of our paddlers to a WW School student.

The kayak is red with a blue bottom in the middle, has yellow grab loops, white pyranha lettering, black pyrana logo, white granite thigh braces, and clamp marks near the stern where the prior owner had heated the kayak to reduce the stern volume. The foot braces, hip padding, and flotation had been removed prior to the kayak being taken.

A group of youths were heard excitedly taking something off the river at the White River Valley Campground.

Any information is appreciated. Please pass this notice on.

Thanks,
