Come to the NHAMC Paddlers Annual Spring Meeting with a pot-luck dinner door prizes, and an equipment swap/sale. We'll have prizes for the best dishes.

We will have the following entertaining and informative program for you:

Eat Healthy Live Healthy

Inspired Healthy Living is realistic approach to fitness and nutrition that really hits home. Dan O’Rourke will discuss how fitness and nutrition effects the quality of your life. He will discuss the hidden toxins and dangers of every day grocery store foods, what to look for and what to eat in place of those toxins. Specifically Dan will ask “do you know what you’re eating”? and discuss the manufacturing process of high fructose syrup, hydrogenated oils, soda, soy, refined white flours, and how they all create over acidic bodies.

Journey to the Northern Sea
The Bonnet Plume River

This is a wonderful short film of particular interest to people with familys and to those who would like to paddle the North. It is very well done with breathtaking scenery, a wonderful river, and the uplifting and inspiring story of a family that paddles together. We have special permission to show it.

Jan and Steve Moss and their two sons have been paddling Ontario rivers for years. In the summer of 2007, they realized a long-held dream to paddle a northern mountain river. The Bonnet Plume, located in Northern Yukon, is a Canadian Heritage River with a reputation as one of Canada's most spectacular wilderness rivers. With miles of challenging rapids and magnificent mountain scenery, this truly remote Arctic river did not disappoint.

All paddlers are invited whether members or not. We especially welcome new paddlers, Whitewater School Students, and people who want to learn about paddling or meet other paddlers.

This is the time to meet with other paddlers, talk about up coming trips, and plan the summer and fall. There will be boats and equipment for sale. You may bring your paddling/expedition related equipment you want to sell.

Many paddlers donate door prizes, finding great joy in seeing someone win their gift of a piece of equipment or book, food item, etc. they no longer need. (The good feeling lasts far longer than taste of the hamburger you bought from the proceeds of selling the item but perhaps not as long as the burger lasts around your waist.)

Get Out and Paddle!
